The goal is to improve your health and sense of wellbeing. Weight and Body Mass Index (BMI) are not the sole measures.
Everyone is different, and eating less and moving more is not the only answer.

What is included?
Our process is as follows:
1. Book initial consultation (click here)
2. Complete Pre-Appointment Questionnaire
3. Attend in person appointment: Covers diet and activity recommendations. Pathophysiology of Obesity and where medications fit in. As well as a requisition for general blood work
3. Blood work completed (24-48hrs turnaround)
4. Follow up appointment for blood work review and prescribing of medication; if appropriate. Will go over cost and special authorization process if needed
5. Ongoing support: For drug therapy management and accountability
What can I expect in the initial consultation?
Initial consultation covers:
Diet and activity recommendations.
Pathophysiology of Obesity and where medications fit in.
A blood work requisition is also provided for general blood work (no cost)
What is the cost?
No cost for the initial consultation or blood work.
Only charge is for medication if appropriate and prescribed.
Note: Direct billing available. We can also help navigate and submit special authorization requests to your insurance provider
Are the medications covered by insurance?
In some cases yes, we will work with your drug coverage and provide all eligible options.

Which medications are prescribed?
If appropriate we are able to prescribe the following anti-obesity medications: Semaglutide, Tirzepatide, Orlistat and Bupropion/Naltrexone.
Are there side effects to medications?
Most common side effect is nausea.
You could also experience diarrhea, stomach pain, vomiting, constipation.
Managing nausea includes:
1. Eating bland, low-fat foods, like crackers toast and rice
2. Eat foods that contain water, like soups and gelatin
3. Avoid fried, greasy or sweet foods
4. Avoid laying down after you eat
5. Go outdoors for fresh air
6. Eat more slowly
7. Drink clear or ice-cold drinks
How long does it take to get medication prescribed?
It will vary. Can be as quick as 1-2 days. If a special authorization application is required it can take 1-4 weeks due to insurers processing times.
How soon can I expect results?
Average weight loss is 1-2lbs/week with up to 15-20% weight loss from baseline
Is there ongoing support?
Yes, our pharmacist is available for any follow ups or questions that arise at anytime.
